Employees’ health and safety in all their activities, workplaces and construction sites and when handling hazardous substances must be guaranteed, accidents at work should be avoided as far as possible and a healthy, physically beneficial working life should be created.
By evaluating workplaces, work equipment and working materials, hazards are identified and protective measures are taken against them. Ongoing checks are carried out to ensure that the protective measures taken to prevent accidents and protect health are suitable and are also being applied.
The BAG's safety experts are supported by occupational medical care and external experts.

We are very proud of our apprentices and that we were able to train five new apprentices as cable car technicians in the 22/23 financial year despite the difficult apprenticeship situation.
In the 22/23 financial year, three apprentices passed their final apprenticeship examinations to become cable car technicians and the dual apprenticeship to become cable car technicians/electrical engineers, some of them with exceptional results.

Bergbahn AG Kitzbühel took part in the apprenticeship fairs in Mittersill in February 2023 and at Arena 365 in Kirchberg in November 2023. Our trainee apprentices and business managers explained the duties of a cable car technician to the pupils.
A careers fair was held at HAK Kitzbühel in October 2023. At the fair, we presented our internship opportunities during the summer holidays in the IT and accounting departments. During the Christmas and semester holidays, the interns support the information team at the valley stations of the Hahnenkammbahn, Hornbahn and Fleckalmbahn cable cars with guest enquiries and help with issuing tickets at the ticket machines.

The Growin' 3.0 initiative, organised by the Kitzbühel Rotary Club, enables apprentices to develop a tailor-made sustainability idea for their own training company. The participants have coached learning experiences, gain self-confidence and grow with the project. Two of our apprentices took part in this workshop in March 2023 to develop sustainable ideas on their own initiative.
Our apprentices were also enthusiastic about the initiative this year. In November 2023, eight apprentices took part in the seminar
Personality training for apprentices (“Strengthening personality as the basis for professional success”). This
workshop was organised by the Kutschera Institute.
