“Gentle Mobility” master plan: BIKE ARGE adds new activities for biking-mad families
A training track and three new trails have been created near the Sonnenrast chairlift. The MTB Family Area Streiteck boasts 1.4 kilometres of trails and offers everything that beginners and more advanced bikers need to practise and try out new things. The Sonnenrast Trail is a 1.8-kilometre-long flow trail with flowing turns, playful rollers, boardwalks, a spectacular wooden spiral and fantastic panoramic views. Right next door are the Upper and Lower Streiteck Trails (0.2 km and 0.6 km respectively), two medium-difficulty lines with optional jumps, drops, boardwalks and other familiar trail elements. The Sonnenrast Trails form part of a transregional master plan backed by the LEADER programme and the State of Tyrol. The process has been instigated by the Bike ARGE Association and is being supported by the company ALLEGRA.
Sonnenrast Trail and MTB Family Area Streiteck will be opened on 28th July 2023.

Filtern
It is a flowing trail with easier key sections and playful elements. Meanwhile, tighter turns, banked turns, wooden bridges, natural passages, small waves, jumps and natural obstacles offer variety.
The flow trail leads across the famous Hahnenkamm mountain and starts at the top station. After reaching the station, the famous "Streif" race course continues to the right, while on the left the trail leads down into the valley, offering fun and variety for beginners and the advanced alike. The route is kept family-friendly and boasts easier key sections and playful elements. Thanks to choosing a clever route, the trail manages to remain natural without many artificial elements. Natural passages, meadow curves, small waves and jumps as well as natural obstacles offer variety and action for the whole family. The only thing that will have you hitting the brakes from time to time is the gorgeous scenery of the Kitzbühel area.
During the seemingly endless descent, root passages, larger and smaller jumps, finely laid-out bends, occasional short ascents and fast quick sections will reward you with that perfect enduro feeling. This demanding route requires a certain level of concentration, fitness and riding technique.
For this challenging downhill trail of over 450 metres in altitude, a certain level of riding technique is required. On the single trail scale, this trail is rated S3 throughout.
The Gaisberg Trail extends below the lift line of the Gaisberg chairlift.
Technically challenging, it features some jumps and drops built in especially for downhill riders.
“Chicken ways” are available as an alternative throughout.
The mostly natural route offers flowing passages and a multitude of the finest hairpin bends with around 450 metres of vertical drop. While beginners gain their first experience with bends, easy steps or roots, experienced mountain bikers can use the steps as jumps. The moderately difficult trail, which is consistently rated S2 on the single trail scale, will put a grin on the face of mountain bike pros and trail beginners alike thanks to its multi-faceted character.
