Paragliding and Hang gliding

Kitzbühel and Kirchberg are inside tips for paragliders and hang gliders. Especially the bird's eye view of the Streif is breath-taking and impressiv. Combining hiking and flying is getting more popular. The Red Bull X-Alps is the world's toughest adventure race and introduced "Hike & Fly" as a famous sport.

About paragliding and hang gliding
In Austria, Germany and Switzerland there are about 100.000 hang- and paragliders. Within you have a group who enjoy panoramic flights and calm flight conditions. Experienced pilots seek for thermal and long distance flights.
Speed limits are about 35 km/h flying with a paraglider and 50 km/h when using a hang glider. Flight altitudes vary between 1.500 and 4.000 meteres, depending on weather, geographic location and season.

Terms of conditions for paragliders and hang gliders

1. Possession of a valid pilot's license and compliance with the right to fly.
2. The pilot has liability insurance.
3. Lift ropes may only be flown over at a height of more than 50 meters.
4. Guest pilots must follow the instructions of club members and staff of KitzSki. Otherwise withdrawal of the take-off or landing permission and display.
5. To protect the alpine cattle and wild animals, please do not make any noise in the air or on the ground.
6. There will be a take-off ban, if a helicopter mission is announced.
7. Driving vehicles into the landing areas is prohibited.
8. The aircraft is to be dismantled at the edge of the landing field.
9. The Kitzbühel Hang Gliding Club assumes no liability for any accidents.
10. Please keep the environment clean.
